Diavolezza
Legend has it that unwary hunters would follow a beautiful, flame-haired mountain nymph, only to disappear forever – the Diavolezza is said to get its name from this she-devil. On Diavolezza, we are closer to the mountains than anywhere else! Right in front of us are the impressive triple summit of Piz Palu, Piz Trovat, Pers Glacier, Piz Bernina 4,049m and Morteratsch Glacier beneath our feet.
And this mystical aura that surrounds the Diavolezza even today may have originated in a legend.
