About Alex
Where it began…
Alex had her first taste of climbing mountains during the winter in 2012 when she went on a solo three-week trek in the Nepal Himalayas. This life changing experience inspired her to reach even greater heights by setting one of the biggest goals of her life so far – to climb the ‘Seven Summits’, the highest mountain on each continent.
Having completed the Seven Summits, she set her sights on new challenges. She spent the next three years exploring breathtaking places such as the Arctic Circle, the Sierra Nevada, Scotland, Pyrenees, the Alps and Patagonia on her steel road and carbon hardtail bikes.
In May 2018, Alex stood on the summit of Mt Everest for an exhilarating 40 minutes, completing the Seven Summits, climbing the highest mountain on every continent. She summited all of them on the first attempt, as well as the Matterhorn and soloed Mont Blanc, both without acclimatisation or support.
In 2019, Alex qualified as a Mountain Bike Leader. She’s also an experienced Mountain, and a British Athletics Running Leader. Alex lives and works in the stunning Swiss Alps.
